In leadership positions, Dr. Hysmith has more than thirty years experience in education and development. During this period, she has provided extensive consultant services to senior executives regarding leadership and issues in organizational change. In addition, she developed and facilitated Leadership Conferences and Strategic Planning Retreats for senior executives, physicians, clinicians, lawyers, judges, scientists, administrative staff, and board members throughout United States and abroad.

Business Experience
For fourteen years, Dr. Hysmith was employed full time by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. She started this arm of her career in 1984 as Director of Training and Development. Four years later, she was promoted to Central Office, Human Resources Division, as an Organizational Development Consultant, and then in 1990, to Assistant Director of Recruitment, Training and Career Development Services. In 1993, she was promoted to Sr. Director of Managed Care Education and appointed, in 1994, to Associate Executive Director, Office of Diversity and Organizational Change. In this capacity, Dr. Hysmith provided organizational consultant services for seven health care facilities. In 1995, she was appointed as the Deputy Executive Director, Division of Human Relations, for the Northern Manhattan Network of New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation

Professorships
As an adjunct professor for ten years at the College of New Rochelle, Dr. Hysmith passionately taught two core courses, "Career Review" and "Designing the Future." During this period, she guided more than 2000 transitional mid-life adults in both student program development and career choices. Her professional background also includes experience as an instructor at Baruch College and as a consultant at Marymount College. Due to extensive consultant demands, she recently resigned as an adjunct professor at Shorter College, School of Professional Programs, located in Atlanta, Georgia.
